Tom Scheerer

Little did I realize,
I've known of Tom Scheerer from pinning his rooms on Pinterest for months.
Thanks to a shout out by MME Style of his use of director chairs in dining rooms {which I'm in to},
I checked out his website. It was difficult to pick only 10 rooms to showcase.
My favorite thing about his work is that he allows his furnishings to be the focus of a room.
His use of wallpaper and accessories add jazz,
but never take away from the point,
which is a beautifully unfussy and livable environment.

Is this what heaven looks like?

The tufted ottoman made me chuckle because of this.

Peacock Blue

The color peacock blue gives me more pleasure than reading the trilogy "Fifty Shades of Grey".
And I did read those books {embarrassment}, in five days {shame},
while vacationing in Mexico with no kids {blush}.
So...that's saying a lot.

Two Loves in my Life

I love black framed windows.
I love that the look of them is so dramatic there's no need for window treatments.
I love how it frames the window like artwork.
It's modern and edgy and eye catching.

I love etageres in a kitchen.
I love being surprised with an unexpected element in a room,
especially one that's generally the same in every house.
Albeit, these kitchens are anything but general.
And, speaking of love, can you believe these La Cornue ranges?
I die.

5 Reasons Why

I'm happy.
I usually am, but today more than usual. Here's why.
1.  Three words: lazy summer mornings. No rushing, no time watching, no packing lunches--just casual, coffee filled, paper reading, low key mornings. This is what my house looked like after a morning play date. Normally this scenario would annoy me, but today I liked it.

  2.  Medium and Small love building tents.  It is Occupy Wall Street under the dining table.
It's their version of protesting the NATO summit. And seriously...they have anarchy written
all over them.

3.  Fresh flowers are everywhere in my house. They are instant mood lifters.

4.  Recipe club tonight. It's a Mexican Fiesta. This is what I'm bringing, thanks to Rick Bayless.

  5.  There is no other like my Hubs. He knocks my socks off. Thanks for the words.

High Street Market

High Street Market has the goods.
I love this web store.  Until I have the luxury of browsing in home stores
without the worry of tiny hands grabbing and destroying breakables, I will look here.
I'm a little obsessed with brass, if you hadn't noticed.
